About Me

Jim has 30 years experience in civil litigation.  He has extensive experience in personal injury and medical malpractice claims, in addition to business disputes, contractual claims, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination.  While he typically represents both plaintiffs and defendants in business disputes, he primarily represents plaintiffs in personal injury and malpractice matters.  Jim has substantial trial experience in state and federal courts throughout Kentucky and is Peer Review Rated as “Distinguished” by Martindale-Hubbell.

Upon graduation from Vanderbilt University (B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, 1981), Jim worked in Oak Ridge, Tennessee for Goodyear Atomic Corporation.  In 1986, he graduated in the top 5% of his class with High Honors from the University of Tennessee College of Law.  He was elected to Order of the Coif and served as Articles Editor with the Tennessee Law Journal.  Jim began his legal career as a clerk for the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, Hon. Pierce Lively.  He joined a large regional firm in 1987 and established his own practice in 1997.  Jim joined Grasch Law, P.S.C. in 2011 and became “Of Counsel” with Rose Grasch Camenisch Mains at the time of its formation in 2016.
